Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

GuardWell Compliance is committed to ensuring our healthcare compliance platform is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet or exceed the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and continuously work to improve the accessibility of our platform.

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following accessibility features across our platform:

  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard, including navigation menus, compliance checklists, forms, and buttons.
  • Screen reader compatibility: Semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and proper heading hierarchy ensure compatibility with assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver.
  • Color contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios. Status information is conveyed through both color and text labels.
  • Reduced motion: Users who prefer reduced motion (via their operating system settings) will see animations disabled throughout the platform.
  • Skip navigation: A “Skip to main content” link is available on every page for keyboard users.
  • Responsive design: The platform is fully responsive and usable on mobile devices, tablets, and desktops.
  • Form accessibility: All form fields include visible labels, error messages are announced to screen readers, and required fields are clearly indicated.
  • Focus management: Focus indicators are visible on interactive elements, and focus is properly managed in modal dialogs and dynamic content.

Standards We Follow

We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This includes guidelines related to perceivability, operability, understandability, and robustness. We regularly audit our platform against these standards and address identified issues as part of our development process.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of our platform may have limitations:

  • PDF reports generated by the platform (OSHA 300 logs, audit packages, compliance certificates) may not be fully screen reader accessible. We are working to improve PDF accessibility.
  • Some third-party integrations (e.g., the Stripe billing portal that handles subscription management) have their own accessibility implementations that are outside our direct control.
  • Data visualization elements such as compliance score charts use alternative text descriptions but may not convey all information to non-visual users.

Feedback & Contact

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of GuardWell Compliance. If you encounter accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us:

We will make reasonable efforts to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days and to address valid concerns in a timely manner.

Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We conduct regular audits, incorporate accessibility testing into our development workflow, and train our team on accessibility best practices. As we add new features, we include accessibility requirements from the design phase through implementation and testing.
